Aitech

The City of Antipolo Institute of Technology, distinctly referred to as “AiTECH” was established by the City Government of Antipolo by virtue of City Ordinance No. 2014-557 “An Ordinance establishing the City of Antipolo Institute of Technology (AiTECH), defining its mandates, purposes and its organizational set-up, appropriating the necessary funding thereof and for other purposes.”

In the said ordinance, it was stipulated in Section 2 that “AiTECH shall be a tertiary education institution to be owned and managed by the City of Antipolo and shall have its main office and campus in Cabading, Barangay San Jose, City of Antipolo. It shall be registered with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a Professional Institution, pursuant to CHED Memorandum Order No. 46, Series of 2012.”

After this ordinance was enacted on February 3, 2014 by the Sanguniang Panglunsod, AiTECH applied for and was given the authority by CHED to operate as a Higher Education Institution (HEI) by virtue of Commission En Banc Resolution No. 339-2015 issued on June 23, 2015. Having been awarded by virtue of this en banc resolution, AiTECH was the first CHED-recognized HEI among local colleges and universities (LUCs) in the Philippines.


AiTECH, as a CHED-registered Professional Institution, primarily focuses on and solely offers courses and programs of study, instructions or training in applied academics, scientific, trade, technical, technological and vocational field of education and include among others, applied learning, skills-based and occupational training with emphasis on academic approach that combine work in the classroom with practical experience in a student’s field of study. AiTECH began offering its Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering (BSCONE) program beginning AY 2015-2016. At the start of Academic Year 2021-2022, AiTECH will offer a revitalized Bachelor Degree Program as prescribed by CHED. The new degree program will now be, Bachelor in Construction Engineering Technology and Management (BCETM).
